There's a Prize for Us

There's a prize for us,
Somewhere a prize for us.
Hidden meanings beyond compare
Wait for us
Somewhere.

There's a rhyme for us,
Some day a rhyme for us,
Scan together with feet to spare,
Words to flow, words with flair,
Some day!

Somewhere.
We'll make a new kind of sonnet
That has "Proud Winner" writ on it
Somewhere . . .

There's a prize for us,
A poem and prize for us.
Write a verse and we're halfway there.
Rhyme with "June" and I'll take you there
Somehow,
Some day,
Somewhere!

Lyrics by Caratacus Sondheim.
